Internal PreLoading in ActionScript 3

Monday, April 7th, 2008

I’m going to walk through the steps of making a preloader for your animation, game, or application and provide easily implemented source files that you can copy and change to fit your own project. Making a preloader in ActionScript 3 is more difficult to figure out then it was in ActionScript 2, but the code itself is not any harder.

Spring Animation with ActionScript 3

Friday, April 4th, 2008

In celebration of our little vector contest I thought I would unofficially submit my own entry.

I made this animation using our Spring Time vector pack. It’s about 360Kbs, but once it’s loaded click Play to get it started, then you can press the Left or Right arrows to control the little bunny.

Cutting!!! The non-painful kind…

The technique you’re gonna watch (and hopefully learn) today is called “cutting.” It’s an indispensable tool in any graffiti writers toolbox. The man behind the video this fine day is a guest to our lovely site, he’s also the man responsible for that killer piece at the header.

His tag is FASM (it stands for Faith Alone Saved Me) and he’s a long time member of the very international Gospel Graffiti Crew. You can check out more of his work at www.gospelgraffiti.com or www.FASM.net.

And now for some schooling…

Hope you learned a little something new… God bless you all and have a lovely day.
